An exciting new course from DippingBird. Asana names are largely compound words. The English language tends not to do compound words, leaving words split up as in ‘fear of enclosed spaces’ rather than the Greek derived claustrophobia. In this course we tackle the components of the Sanskrit asanas in bite-sized pieces e.g. parsvakonasana becomes parsva = side, kona = angle, asana = pose… ‘side angle pose’. Many of these component words are common across many asanas – by doing the ABC course you can build your ability to ‘translate’ the English name into Sanskrit.
